Sophia Buvyer is an accomplished leader in healthcare technology with over 20 years of experience working at national, provincial and local levels. Most recently, as the Director of Enterprise Architecture & Strategy for Northern Health, she has found ways to shape and enhance organizational culture through her knowledge of healthcare systems, strategic planning and enterprise architecture. In this current role, she is also responsible for provincial engagement on behalf of Northern Health Information Management and Information Technology.
Previously, she was the Lead Architect and Standards Lead for Canada Health Infoway advising on provincial investments in healthcare technology and providing hands-on support to implementers in BC, Alberta and the Yukon. Sophia has led teams who pioneered pan-Canadian standards and has played key roles in the implementation of transformational systems in BC including CareConnect, the Provincial Laboratory Information System and Clinical Data eXchange.
