Computable Care Guidelines (CCGs) are expert-system based knowledge artefacts defined using the HL7 FHIR standard. HL7 and IHE are long-running partners on a joint "Gemini Project" to develop specifications for expressing implementable, conformance-testable CCGs that can be deployed at scale. This presentation reports on outputs from this Gemini Project and describes how CCGs can be leveraged to address clinician burnout, support value-based care, and operationalize a Learning Health System.
