Webinar Wednesday - Enabling seamless hybrid virtual - physical care, at any acuity, for any patient context and population size

Hospital and “in clinic” visits that have dominated care delivery are shifting towards a "care anywhere" paradigm where high quality, affordable, accessible healthcare is provided to people agnostic to WHERE or WHEN their clinician or other services are available. This departure from location-based and in-person visit-based care is especially critical given the mounting challenges of ensuring timely access to care in nearly every Canadian jurisdiction. Still, it is essential to align virtual visits with in-person care delivered by a coordinated allied health care team, which has been the missing piece in so many digital solutions. The Teladoc Health team will share Canadian and international case studies and client examples that showcase how Teladoc virtual platforms are enabling hybrid healthcare across complex health systems in all areas of medicine and acuities, such as neurology, mental health and chronic conditions management.

Dr. Zayna Khayat is Vice President of Growth & Client Success at Teladoc Health in Canada.  Zayna previously led the Futures team with national home healthcare and aging non-profit, SE Health, as their Future Strategist. Zayna is Faculty of Singularity University and is adjunct faculty at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. Dr. Khayat was previously the lead of health system innovation at MaRS Discovery District. In 2017 she was seconded to the REshape Innovation Centre at Radboud university medical centre in the Netherlands. Zayna completed her Ph.D. in diabetes research from the University of Toronto (2001), followed by a career in strategy consulting which included a Principal role in the healthcare practice at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

At Teladoc Health, Cory Fry leads business development, account management and client success within hospital and health systems in Western Canada. His expertise and interests include user experience, digital innovation, enterprise strategy and modernizing legacy systems in the health sector. An adventurer, leader, and excellent connector, Cory thrives on business opportunities, creating partnerships, and community development initiatives. Cory has worked within the Canadian health sector for nearly 15 years, with the last 10 chiefly focused on growing the healthcare consulting practice within Canada for CGI.
