Health systems focused on integrating care are faced with a unique dilemma; how do you make effective patient flow decisions when a wealth of data is scattered across multiple hospitals & siloed software systems? The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) compiled data from various disparate systems into Oculys—a single operational visibility platform.

The WRHA has taken the necessary steps to improve communication and transparency between hospitals and programs across the health region.

For care teams, the enhanced transparency empowers decision-makers and care providers with real-time visibility that is available anytime and anywhere— including on mobile devices. Staff are able to use this real-time data to identify bottlenecks across multiple sites and programs throughout an entire region and develop effective solutions more efficiently.

For patients, Oculys means an improved experience by significantly expediting their journey through the healthcare system and managing expectations through accurate and predictive ED wait times.
